  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

Tissue Factor (TF), also known as thromboplastin, is a crucial membrane glycoprotein involved in the initiation of the coagulation cascade, playing a pivotal role in hemostasis and thrombosis. It acts as a receptor for factor VII/VIIa, facilitating the activation of the extrinsic pathway of coagulation. Research into TF has gained significant momentum due to its dual role in normal and pathological processes, including its contribution to cancer progression, inflammation, and vascular disorders. Elevated levels of TF have been associated with thrombosis in various diseases such as cancer, where it aids tumor growth and metastasis by promoting vascularization and enhancing the inflammatory response. Furthermore, TF has been implicated in acute coronary syndromes and sepsis, linking it to adverse clinical outcomes. The development of recombinant TF proteins has provided invaluable tools for elucidating its mechanisms of action and potential therapeutic applications. These recombinant proteins enable detailed studies of TF's role in coagulation and its interactions with other signaling pathways, paving the way for innovative strategies in thrombosis management and cancer therapy. Consequently, studying recombinant TF proteins not only enhances our understanding of hemostatic balance but also opens avenues for novel therapeutic interventions targeting TF in various diseases.
