Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SCGB2A2 (Secretoglobin family 2A member 2) is a secretory protein primarily expressed in the epithelial cells of the respiratory and reproductive tracts. It plays critical roles in various physiological processes, including the modulation of immune responses and maintenance of epithelial cell integrity. Research on SCGB2A2 has gained attention due to its potential implications in diseases such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and certain cancers. Its unique structure, comprising a compact fold that includes a conserved disulfide bridge, suggests functional significance in ligand binding and signaling pathways. Recent studies have focused on characterizing the recombinant form of SCGB2A2 to elucidate its biological functions and interactions at the molecular level. Expression systems, such as E. coli and yeast, are utilized to produce SCGB2A2, facilitating investigations into post-translational modifications and protein folding, which are crucial for its activity. Understanding the functional mechanisms of SCGB2A2 may lead to novel therapeutic strategies aimed at targeting related pathologies, highlighting the importance of this protein in both basic and translational research.
