  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

Integrin alpha X beta 2, a member of the beta 2 integrin family, plays a crucial role in the immune system, particularly in the adhesion and migration of leukocytes. This integrin, also known as Mac-1 or CD11c/CD18, is prominently expressed on the surfaces of various immune cells, including macrophages and neutrophils, and is essential for their functions in immunological responses. The interest in recombinant proteins of integrin alpha X beta 2 has surged due to their potential applications in studying immune cell adhesion mechanisms, developing novel therapies for inflammatory diseases, and creating targeted drug delivery systems. Research efforts aim to elucidate the structural and functional properties of this integrin to understand its role in immune cell trafficking and activation. By producing recombinant forms of integrin alpha X beta 2, scientists can investigate ligand-binding mechanisms, signaling pathways, and the impact of mutations on integrin function, potentially leading to new therapeutic strategies in treating conditions characterized by immune dysfunction or excessive inflammation. The characterization of this integrin also holds promise for enhancing the efficacy of immunotherapies and understanding disease pathogenesis, making it a significant focus in both basic and applied biomedical research.
