  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

NPB (Neuropeptide B) is a neuropeptide that plays a significant role in various physiological processes, including regulation of appetite, energy homeostasis, and neuroendocrine functions. The study of NPB has gained attention due to its potential implications in neurobiology and metabolic disorders. Researchers have been investigating the mechanisms by which NPB interacts with its receptors and regulates signaling pathways within the central nervous system. The recombinant production of NPB and its derivatives allows for detailed functional studies and offers the opportunity to explore the therapeutic potential of targeting the NPB signaling pathway. Advances in molecular biology techniques have enabled the efficient expression and purification of NPB proteins, facilitating research into their structure-function relationships and interactions. Understanding NPB's role in neuronal signaling could lead to novel strategies for addressing obesity, diabetes, and other metabolic syndromes, highlighting the importance of ongoing research in this area to elucidate the complex interplay between neuropeptides and metabolic processes.
