Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Insulin-like growth factor binding protein 6 (IGFBP-6) is a member of the IGFBP family that plays a critical role in regulating the actions of insulin-like growth factors (IGFs) within biological systems. Unlike other IGFBPs, IGFBP-6 has been shown to possess unique properties, including a strong affinity for IGF-II and the ability to modulate IGF signaling pathways in various tissues. Research has highlighted its involvement in numerous physiological processes, including cell growth, differentiation, and apoptosis, as well as its potential role in cancer progression and metabolic disorders. Given its significant biological functions, there is growing interest in the production and characterization of recombinant IGFBP-6 for both experimental and therapeutic applications. This protein's potential as a biomarker or therapeutic target in diseases such as cancer provides a compelling reason for further investigation. By studying the recombinant form of IGFBP-6, scientists aim to better understand its mechanisms of action, develop assays for its quantification, and explore its utility in clinical settings, potentially leading to novel interventions in IGF-related diseases. Consequently, the research on recombinant IGFBP-6 not only enriches our fundamental understanding of IGF signaling but also opens avenues for new therapeutic strategies in various pathologies.
