Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PCDHA12 (Protocadherin Alpha 12) is a member of the protocadherin family, which plays a crucial role in the formation and maintenance of synapses in the nervous system. This class of proteins is characterized by their large extracellular domains, which mediate homophilic (like-to-like) interactions critical for establishing specific cell-cell connections. PCDHA12 is particularly interesting due to its potential involvement in neurodevelopmental processes and associated disorders. Studies suggest that alterations in protocadherin expression or function can contribute to neurological diseases, including autism spectrum disorders and schizophrenia. Investigating PCDHA12 as a recombinant protein can provide insights into its structural properties, cellular interactions, and functional implications in neural networks. Additionally, understanding how PCDHA12 interacts with other proteins and signaling pathways may offer valuable knowledge for therapeutic approaches targeting neurodevelopmental conditions. By characterizing PCDHA12 at a molecular level, researchers aim to elucidate its role in maintaining synaptic stability and its influence on neuronal health, ultimately contributing to a deeper understanding of brain function and the underlying mechanisms of neurodevelopmental diseases.
