  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

Insulin-like growth factor binding protein-1 (IGFBP-1) is a key regulatory protein that modulates the effects of insulin-like growth factors (IGFs) in various physiological processes, including cell growth, development, and metabolism. Research has shown that IGFBP-1 plays a significant role in the fetal and postnatal growth stages, influencing developmental outcomes and metabolic health. Altered levels of IGFBP-1 have been associated with several pathological conditions, such as diabetes, obesity, and certain cancers, making it a potential biomarker for these diseases. The recombinant production of IGFBP-1 has gained attention in recent years due to its potential applications in therapeutic and diagnostic settings. By utilizing recombinant DNA technology, researchers can produce IGFBP-1 in sufficient quantities for in vitro and in vivo studies, allowing for a deeper understanding of its biological functions and interactions with IGFs. This research supports the exploration of IGFBP-1 as a therapeutic target, as well as its utility in evaluating disease states related to growth and metabolism. Moreover, the study of IGFBP-1 can provide insights into the mechanisms of growth regulation and hormone action, which are vital for developing novel treatment strategies and improving patient outcomes in metabolic and growth-related disorders.
