  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

CKAP5, also known as cytoskeleton-associated protein 5, has garnered significant attention in scientific research due to its pivotal role in cellular functions, especially in the context of the cytoskeleton and cell division. It is primarily involved in the stabilization of microtubules, which are essential for maintaining cell shape, enabling intracellular transport, and facilitating proper chromosome segregation during mitosis. Abnormal expression or dysfunction of CKAP5 has been implicated in various diseases, including cancers, where it may contribute to tumorigenesis and metastasis by affecting cellular stability and motility. Consequently, researchers have focused on the recombinant expression of CKAP5 to better understand its structure-function relationships and to explore its potential as a therapeutic target. By producing CKAP5 as a recombinant protein, scientists can investigate its interaction with other cellular components, assess its stability under different conditions, and evaluate its role in various cellular processes. This research not only aids in elucidating the molecular mechanisms governed by CKAP5 but also paves the way for the development of novel cancer therapies that can modulate its function or disrupt its aberrant activity in pathological conditions. Overall, the study of CKAP5 recombinant proteins is crucial for advancing our understanding of cytoskeletal dynamics and its implications in health and disease.
