Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Mitofusin 2 (MFN2) is a crucial protein involved in mitochondrial dynamics, playing a significant role in the fusion of mitochondria, which is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and energy production. Dysfunction in MFN2 is associated with various neurodegenerative diseases, diabetes, and obesity, highlighting its importance in cellular health. Researchers have been investigating MFN2's structure and function to understand its role in mitochondrial regulation better. The recombinant expression of MFN2 allows for in-depth study of its molecular mechanisms and interactions with other proteins involved in mitochondrial dynamics. By producing MFN2 as a recombinant protein, scientists can dissect its functional domains, analyze mutations linked to disease, and evaluate its potential as a therapeutic target. The study of MFN2 also contributes to our broader understanding of mitochondrial biology, including its contribution to apoptosis, reactive oxygen species production, and overall metabolic regulation. This research is critical in unraveling the complex pathways associated with mitochondrial dysfunction and designing targeted therapies for related diseases.
