Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
RAD51 is a key protein involved in the process of homologous recombination, which is critical for the repair of double-strand breaks in DNA. This protein plays a crucial role in maintaining genomic stability by facilitating the accurate exchange of genetic information between homologous chromosomes during cell division. Research on RAD51 emerged from the discovery of its similarity to the RecA protein in bacteria, which is also involved in DNA repair. Studies have shown that dysregulation of RAD51 activity is associated with various cancers, making it a focal point for understanding tumorigenesis and therapeutic resistance. The interplay between RAD51 and other proteins involved in the DNA damage response has been extensively investigated to elucidate its role in cancer biology. Additionally, RAD51 has been explored as a potential target for cancer therapies, particularly in enhancing the efficacy of existing treatments by exploiting the vulnerabilities of cancer cells with impaired homologous recombination. As our understanding of RAD51 and its mechanisms deepens, it continues to offer promising avenues for improving cancer treatment strategies and enhancing patient outcomes.
