Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
L1 proteins, encoded by long interspersed nuclear element-1 (LINE-1), are a class of retrotransposons that play a crucial role in mammalian genome evolution and plasticity. First identified in the 1980s, L1 elements have garnered significant research interest due to their ability to propagate within the genome, influencing gene expression and contributing to genetic diversity. L1 proteins, particularly their open reading frames ORF1 and ORF2, are responsible for the retrotransposition mechanism that allows these elements to insert into new genomic locations. This process is tightly regulated, as uncontrolled L1 activity can lead to genomic instability and is associated with various diseases, including cancer. Recent advances in molecular biology have facilitated the study of L1 proteins, revealing their complex interactions with the host cell machinery and their potential roles in gene regulation and stress response. Understanding the function and regulation of L1 proteins not only sheds light on fundamental aspects of genome dynamics but also offers insights into their implications in human health and disease. As L1 elements constitute a significant portion of the human genome and exhibit unique evolutionary patterns, ongoing research aims to elucidate their contributions to genome architecture, evolution, and pathology, paving the way for potential therapeutic applications targeting L1 activity.
