Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PCMT (Protein-L-α-Casein Methyltransferase) is an enzyme known for its role in post-translational modifications, specifically the methylation of protein lysine residues. This modification is essential for regulating various cellular processes, including protein stability, function, and interactions. Research into PCMT has garnered attention due to its potential implications in health and disease, particularly in cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and metabolic syndromes. Understanding the structure and function of PCMT can provide insights into its mechanism of action and its role in cellular signaling pathways. Additionally, as a target for drug development, elucidating PCMT's function and regulation could facilitate the design of novel therapeutic strategies. The production of recombinant PCMT proteins has become a crucial step in this research, allowing scientists to study the enzyme's properties, activity, and interactions in a controlled environment. By investigating the biochemical characteristics and functionalities of PCMT through recombinant technology, researchers aim to uncover its biological significance and therapeutic potential, paving the way for innovative approaches in targeting diseases associated with dysregulated methylation processes.
