  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

The study of GRM3 (metabotropic glutamate receptor 3) recombinant proteins has gained significant attention due to their critical role in neurobiology and potential implications in various neurological disorders. GRM3 is a member of the metabotropic glutamate receptor family, which are G protein-coupled receptors involved in modulating synaptic transmission and plasticity in the central nervous system. Dysregulation of GRM3 has been linked to several psychiatric conditions, including schizophrenia, anxiety, and mood disorders, making it a promising target for therapeutic interventions. The ability to produce recombinant GRM3 proteins facilitates the investigation of their structure, function, and pharmacology, enabling researchers to explore the receptor's signaling pathways and interactions with other biomolecules. Furthermore, the generation of specific GRM3 ligands and antibodies can help elucidate the receptor's role in disease processes and assist in drug development. Understanding the mechanisms by which GRM3 influences neuronal communication and plasticity is crucial for identifying novel strategies to treat conditions associated with its dysfunction. Consequently, research centered on GRM3 recombinant proteins not only advances our knowledge of fundamental neurobiological processes but also paves the way for innovative therapeutic approaches in psychiatry and neurology.
