  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

LMOD1 (Leiomodin 1) is a member of the tropomyosin-associated protein family, primarily expressed in striated muscle tissues. It plays a crucial role in actin filament stabilization and the regulation of muscle contraction. Research into LMOD1 has gained momentum due to its potential implications in muscle-related diseases and disorders, such as congenital myopathies and cardiomyopathies. Studies have shown that mutations in the LMOD1 gene can lead to abnormal muscle structure and function, highlighting its importance in maintaining muscle integrity. Additionally, LMOD1's interaction with tropomyosin and other actin-binding proteins positions it as a significant player in the cytoskeletal dynamics essential for muscle cell development and function. Recent advancements in recombinant protein technology have facilitated the production of LMOD1, allowing for further elucidation of its molecular mechanisms and interactions. Understanding LMOD1's structure and function can provide valuable insights into the pathophysiology of muscle diseases and pave the way for potential therapeutic strategies targeting LMOD1 or its pathways. Thus, LMOD1 recombinant protein research is not only pivotal in foundational biology but also offers prospects for clinical applications in regenerative medicine and muscle health.
