简介
EphA2 protein is a receptor tyrosine kinase that participates in bidirectional signaling with various ephrin A ligands, affecting cell migration, adhesion, proliferation and differentiation. It regulates cell adhesion and differentiation by interacting with DSG1 and inhibiting the ERK1/ERK2 signaling pathway. EphA2 Protein, Human (sf9, His-GST) is the recombinant human-derived EphA2 protein, expressed by Sf9 insect cells , with N-His, N-GST labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
EphA2 is a member of the Eph receptor tyrosine kinase family, which plays a crucial role in various biological processes, including cell adhesion, migration, and differentiation. This receptor is predominantly expressed in epithelial tissues and is implicated in several pathological conditions, such as cancer progression and metastasis. Elevated levels of EphA2 have been associated with aggressive tumor phenotypes, making it a potential biomarker for cancer diagnosis and a target for therapeutic intervention. The study of EphA2 recombinant proteins provides valuable insights into its structural and functional characteristics, enabling researchers to investigate its signaling pathways and interactions with ligands, particularly the ephrin family. Understanding these mechanisms is essential for developing EphA2-targeted therapies, particularly in cancers where its expression is dysregulated. Furthermore, recombinant EphA2 proteins can be used in various experimental applications, including drug screening and the study of cell signaling dynamics. By elucidating the role of EphA2 in tumor biology, researchers aim to uncover novel strategies for cancer treatment and improve clinical outcomes for patients.
