Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
KRIT1, also known as DJ-1, is a protein that has gained significant attention in recent years due to its critical role in cellular functions and disease mechanisms. Initially identified as a gene associated with the hereditary form of cerebral cavernous malformations (CCM), mutations in KRIT1 lead to vascular malformations that can result in hemorrhagic strokes and seizures. This has propelled research into its structure and function, particularly regarding its involvement in cellular processes such as oxidative stress response, apoptosis, and cell migration. The protein is thought to act as a scaffolding molecule, interacting with various signaling pathways, which may impact vascular development and integrity. Understanding the recombination and functionality of KRIT1 is crucial for elucidating its role in CCM pathogenesis and developing potential therapeutic strategies. Recent studies have focused on the recombinant expression of KRIT1 to investigate its biochemical properties, protein interactions, and functional consequences of pathogenic mutations. This research not only aims to clarify the underlying mechanisms of CCM but also explores KRIT1's broader implications in neurodegenerative diseases and cellular stress responses, thereby contributing to the advancement of targeted interventions in related disorders.
