简介
The Ephrin-A5/EFNA5 protein is an important cell surface ligand that plays an important role in neuronal, vascular, and epithelial development. It binds to Eph receptors, initiating bidirectional signaling and regulating intercellular adhesion, cytoskeletal organization, and lens transparency. Ephrin-A5/EFNA5 Protein, Rat (HEK293, His) is the recombinant rat-derived Ephrin-A5/EFNA5 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Ephrin-A5, encoded by the EFNA5 gene, is a member of the ephrin family, which are important signaling molecules in the nervous system and other tissues. Ephrin-A5 interacts with Eph receptors, playing a crucial role in various biological processes, including cell adhesion, migration, and boundary formation during neural development. Research has shown that ephrin-A5 is significantly involved in axon guidance and neuronal patterning, impacting synaptic plasticity and connectivity. Furthermore, aberrant expression of ephrin-A5 has been linked to pathological conditions such as cancer and neurological disorders. The development of recombinant ephrin-A5 protein has facilitated studies aiming to elucidate its roles in cellular signaling pathways and to explore its therapeutic potential. By generating and characterizing this protein, researchers can investigate the mechanisms underlying ephrin-Eph receptor interactions, assess their impact on neurodevelopment, and explore novel strategies for treating diseases where these pathways are dysregulated. Understanding the functions and interactions of ephrin-A5 at a molecular level is crucial for advancing both basic neuroscience and translational research.
