Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
C4b-binding protein (C4BP) is a significant regulator of the complement system, an essential part of the immune response. It plays a critical role in modulating inflammation and immune complex clearance by binding to C4b, a component of the activated complement system. The recombinant form of C4BP, known as C4BPb, has drawn considerable attention in recent years due to its potential therapeutic applications. Research into C4BPb focuses on its ability to inhibit complement activation, which can help in managing autoimmune diseases, sepsis, and transplant rejection. Studies have demonstrated that the recombinant protein can enhance the clearance of immune complexes and reduce tissue damage caused by excessive inflammation. Additionally, C4BPb has been investigated for its role in cancer immunotherapy, given its influence on immune responses. The ability to produce C4BPb through recombinant technology allows for higher yields and the possibility of engineering variants with enhanced activity or specificity. As such, C4BPb represents a promising avenue for therapeutic innovation in complement-related disorders and immune modulation, with ongoing research aimed at elucidating its mechanisms of action and optimizing its clinical applications.
