  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

The research on GAN (Guanosine-5'-triphosphate)-binding protein reconstitution has gained significant attention due to its pivotal role in various cellular processes, including signal transduction, cellular motility, and metabolism. GAN proteins are part of a larger family of GTPases, which function as molecular switches that alternate between active (GTP-bound) and inactive (GDP-bound) states. The proper functioning of these proteins is crucial for maintaining cellular homeostasis and responding to environmental stimuli. Dysregulation of GAN proteins has been implicated in several diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders, underscoring the importance of understanding their mechanisms. Reconstituting GAN proteins in vitro allows researchers to dissect their functional dynamics and interactions with other cellular components in a controlled environment. This approach not only aids in elucidating the fundamental principles of GTPase activity but also paves the way for therapeutic interventions targeting aberrant GAN signaling pathways. By utilizing techniques such as protein engineering and cellular assays, scientists can explore the various conformational states of GAN proteins and identify key regulatory elements that govern their activity. Overall, the study of GAN protein reconstitution serves as a vital avenue for advancing our knowledge of cellular signaling networks and developing potential strategies for disease treatment.
