  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

ENA-78, also known as CXCL5, is a member of the CXC chemokine family and plays a pivotal role in the immune response, particularly in neutrophil recruitment and activation. It is primarily produced by various cell types, including epithelial cells, and is implicated in several inflammatory processes and diseases, such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), rheumatoid arthritis, and certain cancers. The understanding of ENA-78/CXCL5's role in these conditions underscores its potential as a biomarker and therapeutic target. Recent advancements in recombinant protein technology have enabled the production of ENA-78/CXCL5 in sufficient quantities for detailed biochemical and functional studies. Researchers are investigating the protein's structure-function relationship, signaling pathways, and interactions with its receptor (CXCR2), which are crucial for deciphering its role in health and disease. In addition, studies are exploring how manipulating ENA-78/CXCL5 levels can influence immune responses and inflammation, providing insights for developing new treatments. As a result, generating a recombinant form of ENA-78/CXCL5 is essential for both basic research and potential therapeutic applications, contributing to our understanding of its biological significance and therapeutic utilities in various pathological contexts.
