Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CPT1A, or Carnitine Palmitoyltransferase 1A, is a crucial enzyme involved in the mitochondrial oxidation of long-chain fatty acids. It catalyzes the transfer of an acyl group from CoA to carnitine, facilitating the transport of fatty acids into the mitochondria for β-oxidation. Research on CPT1A has gained significance due to its role in lipid metabolism and energy production, which are pivotal for maintaining cellular homeostasis and overall metabolic health. Dysregulation of CPT1A is implicated in various metabolic disorders, including obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases. Furthermore, CPT1A's involvement in the regulation of the liver's fat metabolism has positioned it as a potential therapeutic target for treating non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and other related conditions. Recombinant CPT1A proteins are useful tools for studying the structure-function relationship of this enzyme, elucidating the mechanisms of its regulation, and testing potential inhibitors that could serve as pharmacological agents. As such, the exploration of CPT1A, particularly through recombinant protein studies, is essential to understanding its biological significance and therapeutic potential in metabolic diseases.
