Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Interferon-alpha 4 (IFN-alpha 4, also known as IFNA4) is a member of the interferon family, crucial for antiviral response and immune regulation. Its unique genetic variation among the interferons is of significant interest because it exhibits distinct biological activities compared to other types. Research has indicated that IFN-alpha 4 can elicit robust antiviral and antiproliferative effects, making it a potential candidate for therapeutic applications in various viral infections and certain malignancies. Moreover, polymorphisms in the IFNA4 gene have been associated with differential responses to viral infections and might influence the efficacy of interferon-based therapies, particularly in hepatitis C treatment. The recombinant form of IFN-alpha 4 has been investigated to better understand its pharmacological properties, enhance therapeutic effectiveness, and evaluate its safety profiles in clinical contexts. Current studies aim to elucidate the mechanisms through which IFN-alpha 4 interacts with immune cells and contributes to antiviral defenses. Understanding these processes not only enhances our knowledge of the immune response but also paves the way for the development of novel therapeutic strategies utilizing IFN-alpha 4 in concert with other treatments to improve patient outcomes in infectious diseases and cancers. Its exploration reflects the ongoing efforts to harness the potential of interferons in immunotherapy, particularly in cases resistant to conventional treatments. Thus, IFN-alpha 4 remains a compelling subject for research, with implications for advancing medical science and improving therapeutic interventions.
