Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The study of DSC2 (Desmocollin 2) recombinant protein is rooted in its critical role in cell–cell adhesion within the desmosome structure, which is vital for maintaining the integrity and resilience of epithelial tissues. DSC2 is a member of the cadherin superfamily, functioning as a transmembrane glycoprotein that facilitates interactions between adjacent cells, thereby contributing to tissue architecture and stability. Mutations or dysregulation of DSC2 have been implicated in a variety of pathologies, including arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy (ARVC) and certain aggressive forms of skin disorders. Therefore, the generation of DSC2 recombinant protein allows for in-depth studies into its structural and functional properties, enabling researchers to elucidate its role in cellular mechanisms and pathological conditions. Furthermore, this recombinant protein serves as a valuable tool for exploring protein-protein interactions, signaling pathways, and potential therapeutic targets. By producing DSC2 in a controlled laboratory setting, scientists can assess its behavior and interactions through advanced techniques such as crystallography, biophysical analysis, and cellular assays. Overall, the research surrounding DSC2 recombinant protein not only enhances our understanding of desmosome biology but also paves the way for innovative interventions in diseases associated with desmosomal dysfunction.
