  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

Fibroblast growth factor receptor 4 (FGFR4) is a receptor tyrosine kinase that plays a crucial role in various cellular processes, including cell proliferation, differentiation, and survival. It is primarily involved in the regulation of skeletal muscle development and tissue repair. Aberrant FGFR4 signaling has been implicated in several pathologies, particularly in cancer, where its overexpression is associated with aggressive tumor phenotypes and poor patient prognosis. As such, FGFR4 has emerged as a promising therapeutic target for the development of novel cancer treatments. Research into FGFR4 has led to the development of recombinant proteins that can help elucidate the mechanisms of FGFR4 signaling pathways and the effects of its modulation. These recombinant proteins assist in investigating the receptor's interactions with ligands, as well as its role in tumor biology and the development of resistance to existing therapies. Furthermore, understanding FGFR4's structure and function through these recombinant proteins paves the way for designing targeted inhibitors that could enhance therapeutic efficacy. Current studies often focus on the development of antibodies or small molecules that specifically inhibit FGFR4 activity, aiming to improve treatment outcomes in patients with FGFR4-related malignancies. The exploration of FGFR4 as a significant player in cancer biology underscores the importance of continued research into its recombinant forms, which will ultimately contribute to the advancement of targeted cancer therapies and personalized medicine approaches.
