Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
AKR1D1, or Aldo-keto reductase family 1 member D1, is an important enzyme involved in steroid metabolism, specifically in the reduction of steroid intermediates. This enzyme plays a crucial role in the clearance and detoxification of various endogenous and exogenous compounds, impacting a range of physiological processes, including hormone regulation and cellular homeostasis. The study of AKR1D1 has gained traction due to its implications in various health conditions, such as metabolic disorders, liver diseases, and hormonal imbalances. Understanding the structure and function of AKR1D1 is essential for elucidating its role in these conditions and for the potential development of therapeutic targets. Furthermore, AKR1D1's involvement in the metabolism of certain drugs underscores its importance in pharmacokinetics and drug interactions. Recent advancements in recombinant protein technology have enabled researchers to produce AKR1D1 in a controlled environment, providing an opportunity to investigate its enzymatic properties and interactions with substrates and inhibitors. The exploration of AKR1D1 through recombinant protein studies aims to enhance our understanding of its biological functions and therapeutic potential, paving the way for novel interventions in diseases related to steroid metabolism and beyond.
