简介
FZD2 protein is a receptor for Wnt proteins that activates the β-catenin classical pathway, inhibits GSK-3 kinase and triggers Wnt target genes. FZD2 and some family members possess a secondary PKC-calcium pathway, but its integration with the classical pathway remains unclear. FZD2 Protein, Human (HEK293, Fc) is the recombinant human-derived FZD2 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-hFc labeled tag.

生物活性
Immobilized FZD2 at 2 μg/mL (100 μL/well) can bind biotinylated Wnt5a (HY-P702853). The ED50 for this effect is 54.93 nM. Immobilized FZD2 at 2 μg/mL (100 μL/well) can bind biotinylated Wnt5a (HY-P702853). The ED50 for this effect is 54.93 nM.

稳定性测试
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
保存条件 & 期限
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

运输条件
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
FZD2 (Frizzled Class Receptor 2) is a member of the Frizzled family of G protein-coupled receptors that play a pivotal role in the Wnt signaling pathway, which is crucial for various biological processes, including cell proliferation, differentiation, and tissue patterning. Abnormalities in Wnt signaling have been implicated in several diseases, including cancer and developmental disorders. Research on FZD2 has gained momentum due to its potential role as a therapeutic target and biomarker for these conditions. The recombinant expression of FZD2 proteins is essential for understanding its structure-function relationship and for elucidating the molecular mechanisms underlying its signaling pathways. By generating FZD2 recombinant proteins, researchers aim to analyze their interactions with Wnt ligands and downstream signaling molecules. Furthermore, these studies facilitate the development of FZD2-specific inhibitors or modulators, which may provide new avenues for treatment in Wnt-related pathologies. The growing interest in FZD2 research underscores the importance of exploring its biological significance and therapeutic potential, offering insights into novel strategies for combating diseases associated with dysregulated Wnt signaling.
