Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Contactin-3 (CNTN3) is a member of the contactin family of neural adhesion molecules, which play a critical role in the development and function of the nervous system. CNTN3 is predominantly expressed in the central nervous system and has been implicated in various neurobiological processes, including neuronal differentiation, axon guidance, and synaptic plasticity. Research has shown that aberrations in CNTN3 expression or function may be associated with neurodevelopmental disorders, such as schizophrenia and autism spectrum disorders. The study of CNTN3 is thus pivotal for understanding its role in neuronal communication and potential contributions to neuropsychiatric conditions. Recombinant CNTN3 protein has been developed to facilitate in-depth investigations into its structure-function relationships, binding interactions, and implications in synaptic formation and maintenance. These studies utilize advanced techniques such as co-immunoprecipitation, fluorescence microscopy, and electrophysiology to reveal the molecular mechanisms underlying CNTN3 activity. By elucidating these pathways, researchers aim to identify therapeutic targets that could alleviate symptoms or modify disease progression in affected individuals. Consequently, the recombinant CNTN3 protein serves as an essential tool in both basic neuroscience research and potential translational applications, bridging our understanding of cellular interactions in the nervous system with clinical insights into neurodevelopmental disorders.
