简介
Reactive protein (CRP) performs multiple functions of host defense, including promoting agglutination, bacterial capsule swelling, phagocytosis, and complement fixation. These activities are promoted by its calcium-dependent binding to phosphocholine, suggesting its role in orchestrating immune responses against pathogens. C-Reactive Protein, Cynomolgus (HEK293, His) is the recombinant cynomolgus-derived C-Reactive protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
C-Reactive Protein (CRP) is a pentameric protein produced by the liver in response to inflammation, primarily mediated by interleukin-6 (IL-6). It is a key component of the body's innate immune response and serves as a biomarker for various conditions, including infections, autoimmune diseases, and chronic inflammatory disorders. Researchers have focused on CRP due to its role in cardiovascular diseases, where elevated levels are linked to increased risk of heart attacks and strokes. The recombinant form of CRP has been developed for various diagnostic and therapeutic applications. Studies have shown that recombinant CRP can enhance the understanding of inflammation and its mechanisms, providing insights into potential treatment strategies. Additionally, efforts to utilize CRP as a therapeutic agent are underway, given its immunomodulatory properties. The ongoing research aims to explore its role in modulating immune responses and its potential application in personalized medicine, particularly in treating conditions with a significant inflammatory component. Overall, the study of C-Reactive Protein, especially in its recombinant form, has significant implications for understanding and managing various inflammatory-related diseases.
