Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
ABHD6 (abhydrolase domain-containing 6) is a serine hydrolase known for its role in the endocannabinoid system, particularly in the hydrolysis of monoacylglycerols. It has drawn considerable interest in recent years due to its involvement in various physiological and pathological processes, including modulation of pain, appetite, and memory. Research indicates that ABHD6 may play a crucial role in neurodegeneration and inflammatory responses, making it a potential therapeutic target for diseases like Alzheimer's and multiple sclerosis. The protein's enzymatic activity impacts the levels of endocannabinoids, influencing cannabinoid receptor signaling pathways. Additionally, understanding the structure-function relationship of ABHD6 can facilitate the development of selective inhibitors, which could serve as leads for drug discovery. Recombinant ABHD6 proteins have been produced for functional assays and structural studies, allowing for a deeper understanding of its enzymatic mechanism and biological significance. This research not only contributes to our understanding of lipid metabolism and endocannabinoid regulation but also opens avenues for developing novel therapeutics aimed at modulating ABHD6 activity in various disease contexts.
