简介
The EIF5 protein is a key member of the 43S pre-initiation complex (43S PIC) and actively participates in mRNA cap-proximal binding, scanning 5'-untranslated regions and locating start codons. EIF5 Protein, Human (His-SUMO) is the recombinant human-derived EIF5 protein, expressed by E. coli , with N-SUMO, N-6*His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
EIF5, or Eukaryotic Translation Initiation Factor 5, plays a crucial role in the initiation phase of protein synthesis in eukaryotic cells. It is responsible for facilitating the recruitment of the initiator tRNA to the ribosomal complex, thereby promoting the formation of the translation initiation complex. Research on EIF5 has gained attention due to its potential implications in various cellular processes and diseases, including cancer. Abnormalities in EIF5 expression or function can disrupt protein synthesis, leading to uncontrolled cell growth and tumorigenesis. Furthermore, EIF5 mayact as a regulatory factor in stress responses and cellular signaling pathways, making it a key player in maintaining cellular homeostasis. Given its pivotal role in translation initiation, scientists are investigating the potential of EIF5 as a therapeutic target for cancer and other diseases associated with dysregulated protein synthesis. Additionally, understanding EIF5 structure and function can provide insights into the broader mechanisms of translation regulation and contribute to the development of new biotechnological applications, such as engineered protein expression systems. As research progresses, EIF5 continues to be a focal point in the fields of molecular biology, genetics, and therapeutic development, highlighting its importance in both fundamental research and potential clinical applications.
