  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

MAdCAM-1 (Mucosal Addressin Cell Adhesion Molecule-1) is an important glycoprotein primarily expressed on the endothelial cells of mucosal tissues and plays a critical role in the homing of lymphocytes to these areas. It belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily and is involved in lymphocyte trafficking, particularly in the gut-associated lymphoid tissues. The interaction between MAdCAM-1 and integrins, such as α4β7, is crucial for the migration of lymphocytes to the gut, influencing immune responses and tissue homeostasis. Research on recombinant MAdCAM-1 protein has gained significance due to its potential implications in understanding various immune-mediated diseases, including inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and autoimmune disorders. By producing and characterizing recombinant MAdCAM-1, scientists aim to explore its structural and functional properties, elucidate its role in lymphocyte adhesion and migration, and identify potential therapeutic targets for modulating immune responses. Moreover, MAdCAM-1 has been considered as a biomarker for certain pathological conditions, making its study relevant for both basic research and clinical applications. The development of recombinant MAdCAM-1 also facilitates the investigation of its interactions with other molecules, contributing to the broader understanding of mucosal immunology and the design of novel therapeutic strategies.
