Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The study of PER2 (Period Circadian Protein 2), a key component of the circadian clock in mammals, has garnered significant attention in chronobiology and related fields. PER2 is part of the feedback loop that regulates circadian rhythms, influencing various physiological processes such as sleep-wake cycles, hormone release, and metabolic functions. Research has shown that disruptions in PER2 expression can lead to sleep disorders, metabolic diseases, and other health issues. Its protein structure, including phosphorylation sites and interactions with other clock proteins, is crucial for its function in maintaining circadian rhythms. Recombinant PER2 protein studies enable researchers to investigate its biochemical properties, post-translational modifications, and interactions with partner proteins in a controlled environment. This helps to elucidate the molecular mechanisms underlying circadian regulation and provides insights into how circadian disruptions may contribute to disease. Recent advancements in recombinant protein technology have facilitated the production and purification of PER2, allowing for detailed functional studies that may eventually lead to therapeutic targets for circadian-related disorders. Understanding PER2's role in the circadian clock not only enhances our knowledge of biological timing but could also potentially lead to novel interventions for health issues associated with circadian misalignment.
