  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

Phosphoinositide 3-kinase delta (PIK3Cd) is a critical member of the class I phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K) family, which plays a significant role in various cellular processes, including cell growth, proliferation, survival, and metabolism. The importance of PIK3Cd is particularly highlighted in the context of the immune system, where it is predominantly expressed in leukocytes and plays a pivotal role in regulating immune responses and inflammatory processes. Dysregulation of PIK3Cd activity has been implicated in various diseases, including immunodeficiencies, autoimmune disorders, and certain cancers, making it an attractive target for therapeutic intervention. Researchers have been exploring the potential of PIK3Cd reprogramming and the use of specific inhibitors to modulate its activity for improved treatment outcomes. The development of recombinant PIK3Cd proteins has enabled detailed biochemical and biophysical studies, allowing for a deeper understanding of its structure-function relationship and interaction with other signaling molecules. This research not only advances our knowledge of the PI3K signaling pathway but also facilitates the design of novel targeted therapies aimed at diseases linked to aberrant PIK3Cd signaling. As such, the study of recombinant PIK3Cd proteins holds great promise for both basic research and the development of future clinical applications.
