简介
S100A8 consists of calcium and zinc bound S100A8, which plays a critical regulatory role in inflammation and immune responses. As calprotectin, it contributes to leukocyte function, regulates the cytoskeleton, and activates intracellular NADPH oxidase. S100A8 Protein, Human (sf9, His) is the recombinant human-derived S100A8 protein, expressed by Sf9 insect cells , with C-His labeled tag.

稳定性测试
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

保存条件 & 期限
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

运输条件
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
S100A8 is a member of the S100 protein family, characterized by its calcium-binding ability and role in inflammatory processes. It is predominantly expressed in myeloid cells, such as neutrophils and monocytes, and plays a crucial role in the innate immune response. Research has shown that S100A8 functions as a pro-inflammatory mediator, influencing the recruitment of immune cells to sites of inflammation and contributing to various pathological conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis, cancer, and cardiovascular diseases. The study of recombinant S100A8 protein has gained importance, as it provides a reliable tool for understanding its biological functions and mechanisms in disease processes. By producing and characterizing recombinant S100A8, researchers aim to elucidate its interactions with other proteins, its role in cell signaling pathways, and its potential as a therapeutic target. Furthermore, recombinant S100A8 can be utilized in various experimental settings, such as cell culture assays and in vivo models, to investigate its impact on inflammation and immune responses. This research not only enhances our understanding of S100A8’s contribution to disease pathogenesis but also paves the way for developing novel therapeutic strategies aimed at modulating its activity to treat inflammatory disorders. Overall, the study of recombinant S100A8 protein is pivotal in advancing our knowledge of immune regulation and the development of targeted therapies for inflammatory diseases.
