Jagged-2/JAG2

简介
JAG2 is one of the NOTCH ligands. JAG2 modulates the sensitivity of CRC cells to chemotherapeutic agents through p21. JAG2 was involved in the regulation of migration and invasion independent of the canonical Notch signaling pathway. JAG2 also promoted the migration and invasion of colon cancer cells in a non-EMT pathway[1][2]. Jagged-2/JAG2 Protein, Human (CHO, hFc) is the recombinant human-derived Jagged-2/JAG2 protein, expressed by CHO , with C-hFc labeled tag.
- Application
-
Biological Activity
Measured by the ability of the immobilized protein to enhance BMP-2 induced alkaline phosphatase activity in C3H10T1/2 mouse embryonic fibroblast cells. The ED50 for this effect is 0.5-2 µg/mL. Measured by the ability of the immobilized protein to enhance BMP-2 induced alkaline phosphatase activity in C3H10T1/2 mouse embryonic fibroblast cells. The ED50 for this effect is 0.73 μg/mL, corresponding to a specific activity is 1.37×10^3 U/mg.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Jagged-2 (JAG2) is a member of the Notch signaling pathway, a crucial communication system involved in various developmental processes and cellular functions. It is a ligand that interacts with Notch receptors, playing a vital role in cell differentiation, proliferation, and apoptosis. Research into JAG2 has gained significant attention due to its implications in cancer biology, particularly in tumor progression and metastasis. Elevated JAG2 expression has been associated with poor prognosis in several cancers, suggesting its potential as a biomarker and therapeutic target. Recombinant JAG2 proteins are increasingly used in studies to elucidate the mechanisms of Notch signaling and to explore their roles in the tumor microenvironment. These proteins allow researchers to dissect the functional effects of JAG2 on cell signaling pathways, contributing to a better understanding of its role in both normal development and disease states. Furthermore, the generation of JAG2 recombinant proteins facilitates the investigation of its interactions with various Notch receptors, helping to develop JAG2-based therapeutic strategies that could potentially inhibit cancer progression. Overall, the study of Jagged-2/JAG2 recombinant proteins is pivotal for advancing our understanding of Notch-related signaling mechanisms and their therapeutic implications in oncology.
