Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Peroxiredoxin 6 (PRDX6) is a unique member of the Peroxiredoxin family, functioning as an antioxidant enzyme that predominantly catalyzes the reduction of hydrogen peroxide and lipid peroxides. Research into PRDX6 has gained traction due to its dual-functionality as both a peroxidase and a phospholipase A2, playing a critical role in cellular redox homeostasis and inflammation regulation. Dysregulation of PRDX6 is linked to various pathological conditions, including cancer, neurodegenerative diseases, and cardiovascular disorders, making it a potential biomarker and therapeutic target. The study of recombinant PRDX6 has enabled researchers to explore its structure-function relationships and mechanisms of action, providing insights into its protective role against oxidative stress. Additionally, recombinant forms of PRDX6 offer opportunities for therapeutic applications, including drug development and gene therapy. Understanding the biochemical properties and interactions of PRDX6 in cellular pathways is essential for unraveling its potential roles in health and disease, paving the way for novel therapeutic strategies to enhance its protective functions or inhibit its activity when necessary.
