简介
Cadherin-1/CD324 protein, a calcium-dependent adhesion molecule, mediates cell processes. It interacts homophilically with other cadherin molecules, sorting and organizing cell types. CDH1 regulates adhesion, mobility, and proliferation of epithelial cells. It serves as an integrin ligand, suppressing invasion and promoting non-amyloidogenic degradation. CDH1 inhibits APP C99 and C83 production. Cadherin-1/CD324 Protein, Rat (HEK293, His) is the recombinant rat-derived Cadherin-1/CD324 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His labeled tag.

生物活性
Measured by the ability of the immobilized protein to support the adhesion of MCF-7 cells. When 5×104cells/well are added to Rat Cadherin-1/CD324 Protein, cell adhesion is enhanced in a dose dependent manner after 30 minutes at 37℃. The ED50 for this effect is 0.3603 μg/mL, corresponding to a specific activity is 2.775×103 U/mg. Measured by the ability of the immobilized protein to support the adhesion of MCF-7 cells. 稳定性测试
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
保存条件 & 期限
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

运输条件
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Cadherin-1 (CD324) is a critical cell adhesion molecule belonging to the cadherin family, known for its role in mediating intercellular adhesion and maintaining tissue integrity. This protein is primarily expressed in epithelial tissues and is crucial for processes such as embryogenesis, tissue morphogenesis, and wound healing. Dysregulation of CD324 has been implicated in various pathological conditions, including cancer progression, where it can influence tumor invasion and metastasis by altering cell-cell interactions. Research has increasingly focused on the production of recombinant CD324 protein to study its adhesive properties and molecular mechanisms. By using techniques such as recombinant DNA technology, scientists can produce large quantities of CD324, facilitating detailed investigations into its structure-function relationships. Understanding the role of CD324 in cellular behavior not only provides insights into fundamental biological processes but also holds potential for therapeutic applications, such as the development of strategies to target and modulate cancer metastasis through modulation of cell adhesion pathways. Additionally, studying CD324's interactions with other proteins may reveal novel targets for drug development and biomarker identification in cancer diagnostics. Overall, recombinant CD324 serves as a valuable tool for advancing our knowledge of cell adhesion mechanisms and their implications in health and disease.
