Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CACNa1D is a member of the voltage-gated calcium channel (VGCC) family, specifically the CaV1.3 subtype, which plays a critical role in various physiological processes such as muscle contraction, neurotransmitter release, and hormone secretion. Research on CACNa1D has gained momentum due to its involvement in multiple pathological conditions, including cardiac arrhythmias, sensorineural hearing loss, and certain neurodegenerative diseases. This protein is essential for maintaining calcium homeostasis within cells, and its dysregulation can lead to serious health issues. Given its significance, the recombinant expression of CACNa1D in heterologous systems, such as mammalian cells or yeast, has become a focal point for researchers aiming to uncover its functional properties, structure-function relationships, and potential pharmacological interactions. Scientists are keen on utilizing these recombinant proteins for functional assays, biophysical characterization, and drug screening, which can facilitate the development of targeted therapies for disorders linked to calcium channel dysfunction. As the study of CACNa1D advances, it holds the promise of offering deeper insights into the mechanisms of calcium signaling and the development of novel treatments for associated diseases.
