Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
IFI16 (Interferon Gamma Inducible Protein 16) is a member of the HIN-200 family of proteins and plays a crucial role in the innate immune response, particularly in detecting viral and foreign DNA. Research into IFI16 has gained momentum due to its involvement in various biological processes, including immune regulation, DNA sensing, and apoptosis. IFI16 acts as a cytosolic sensor for viral DNA, triggering the production of type I interferons and activating downstream signaling pathways that enhance the immune response. Additionally, it has been implicated in the regulation of gene expression and cell cycle progression. The recombinant expression of IFI16 is essential for studying its functional properties and interactions with other proteins, as well as its potential therapeutic applications. Understanding the mechanisms by which IFI16 operates can provide insights into viral pathogenesis and pave the way for novel antiviral strategies. With the increasing prevalence of viral infections and the need for effective treatments, the characterization of IFI16 through recombinant technology is of significant importance in biomedical research.
