  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

Calcium-sensing receptor (CaSR) is a G-protein coupled receptor that plays a critical role in maintaining calcium homeostasis in the body by sensing extracellular calcium levels. Dysregulation of CaSR has been implicated in various pathological conditions, including hyperparathyroidism, osteoporosis, and certain cancers. The receptor is expressed in multiple tissues, including the parathyroid glands, kidneys, and bones, making it a key player in calcium and phosphate metabolism, as well as in the regulation of other physiological processes such as hormone secretion. Recent advancements in molecular biology and structural analysis have enabled the production of recombinant CaSR proteins, facilitating studies on its structure-function relationships, ligand binding properties, and downstream signaling pathways. This research is crucial for developing novel therapeutics targeting CaSR, which may offer innovative approaches for treating calcium-related disorders. The increasing understanding of CaSR's role in health and disease highlights its potential as a therapeutic target, making the study of its recombinant forms essential for future medical applications.
