简介
The S100P protein is a multifunctional calcium sensor that actively contributes to cellular calcium signaling. It interacts calcium-dependently with proteins such as EZR and PPP5C, indirectly affecting processes such as microvilli formation. S100P Protein, Human (N-His) is the recombinant human-derived S100P protein, expressed by E. coli , with N-6*His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
S100P, a member of the S100 protein family, is a calcium-binding protein that plays significant roles in various cellular processes, including cell proliferation, differentiation, and migration. Its expression is notably elevated in several cancer types, including breast, pancreatic, and prostate cancers, which has made it a focus of intense research in cancer biology. Studies have shown that S100P contributes to tumor progression by modulating several signaling pathways, promoting metastasis, and facilitating an inflammatory tumor microenvironment. Additionally, S100P is implicated in the regulation of cytoskeletal dynamics and the cellular response to stress, highlighting its multifunctional nature. Understanding the functional roles of S100P and its interactions with other biomolecules is crucial for developing targeted therapies. Researchers are exploring the potential of S100P as a biomarker for disease prognosis and a therapeutic target, as blocking its activity could hinder cancer progression and improve patient outcomes. The investigation into S100P’s structure and function, especially through the use of recombinant protein technology, allows for detailed examinations of its mechanisms and interactions, ultimately contributing to the development of novel cancer therapeutic strategies.
