Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Fibroblast Growth Factor 19 (FGF-19) is a member of the fibroblast growth factor family, primarily produced in the ileum in response to nutrient absorption. It plays a critical role in regulating bile acid homeostasis, glucose metabolism, and liver function. Research into FGF-19 has gained momentum due to its potential therapeutic implications in metabolic disorders, such as obesity, type 2 diabetes, and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). The recombinant form of FGF-19 has been developed to harness its biological functions for therapeutic applications. Studies indicate that FGF-19 signaling enhances insulin sensitivity and improves glucose tolerance, making it an appealing target for drug development. Additionally, FGF-19 has been implicated in promoting hepatocyte proliferation and regeneration, suggesting its utility in liver diseases. However, concerns regarding the risk of tumorigenesis, particularly in the context of FGF-19's role in liver cancer, necessitate extensive research to fully understand its safety and efficacy profile. The ongoing development of FGF-19-based therapies underscores the importance of elucidating its mechanistic pathways and potential for clinical applications in managing metabolic and liver-related conditions.
