  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

COL15, or collagen type XV, is a member of the collagen family, primarily found in the extracellular matrix (ECM) of various tissues. Its unique structure and distribution suggest crucial roles in tissue organization, cellular interactions, and signaling pathways. Due to its presence in a diverse range of tissues, including skeletal muscle, heart, and skin, COL15 has garnered interest in several fields, from developmental biology to regenerative medicine. Research has indicated that COL15 may play a pivotal role in wound healing, fibrosis, and cancer biology, making its understanding vital for therapeutic applications. Additionally, the recombinant expression of COL15 protein allows for the study of its functional properties and interactions with other ECM components in a controlled environment. Advances in recombinant DNA technology have enabled scientists to produce COL15 in sufficient quantities for detailed analysis, including its role in tissue integrity and function. Thus, studies on COL15 recombinant protein aim to elucidate its biological significance, assess its potential as a therapeutic target, and explore its applications in tissue engineering and regenerative therapies.
