Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
BAFF (B-cell activating factor) is a critical cytokine belonging to the TNF superfamily that plays a pivotal role in B cell development, survival, and activation. It is primarily produced by myeloid cells and is essential for maintaining B cell homeostasis and regulating immune responses. Aberrant expression of BAFF has been linked to various autoimmune diseases, such as systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and rheumatoid arthritis, highlighting its importance in pathophysiology. Research on recombinant BAFF protein has gained momentum as it provides a valuable tool for studying B cell biology and the underlying mechanisms of immune disorders. The production of recombinant BAFF enables researchers to investigate its structural properties and functional roles in different biological contexts. Moreover, understanding how BAFF interacts with its receptors, BAFF-R, TACI, and BCMA, is crucial for developing targeted therapies that modulate immune responses. Pioneering studies have shown that blocking BAFF with antagonistic agents can reduce autoimmune activity, suggesting its potential as a therapeutic target. Overall, the study of recombinant BAFF protein is instrumental in unraveling the complexities of B cell regulation and identifying novel strategies for treating immune-related diseases.
