Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
DEFa11, a member of the defensin protein family, plays a crucial role in the innate immune response of various organisms. These proteins are characterized by their ability to combat microbial infections, largely through their antimicrobial properties. The research surrounding DEFa11 has garnered attention due to its potential applications in therapeutics and as a biomarker for inflammatory conditions. Initial studies highlighted DEFa11's ability to disrupt bacterial membranes, which positions it as a promising candidate for drug development, particularly in the face of rising antibiotic resistance. Investigations have focused on understanding the molecular mechanisms behind DEFa11's antimicrobial action, its expression patterns in different tissues, and how it is regulated during immune responses. Additionally, researchers have explored its interactions with various pathogens and its role in maintaining gut health. As a result, DEFa11 not only serves as a model for studying host defense mechanisms but also raises possibilities for novel treatment strategies against infectious diseases. The ongoing research aims to elucidate the full spectrum of DEFa11’s biological functions and its therapeutic potential, thereby contributing to the broader field of immunology and drug discovery.
