Analytical Data

  • Gene name

    hDDC

  • 简介

hDDC protein plays a central role in neurotransmitter synthesis by catalyzing the decarboxylation of L-3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine (DOPA) to produce dopamine and L-5-hydroxytryptophan to produce serotonin. hDDC Protein, Human (Sf9, His) is the recombinant human-derived hDDC protein, expressed by sf9 insect cells, with C-His labeled tag.

  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

HDDC (Hepatobiliary-specific Dipeptidase-Displaying Chimeric) recombinant protein has emerged as a significant focus of research due to its potential therapeutic applications in liver diseases and metabolic disorders. This protein, characterized by its unique structure and enzymatic function, is produced through recombinant DNA technology, allowing for a greater yield and purity compared to traditional extraction methods. The liver plays a crucial role in various metabolic processes, and any dysfunction can lead to serious health issues, including fatty liver disease, hepatitis, and cirrhosis. By studying HDDC, researchers aim to understand its role in hepatobiliary function and its potential as a biomarker for liver health. Moreover, the reconstruction of protein sequences can lead to novel insights into enzyme activity, enhancing drug design and therapeutic interventions. The ability to manipulate HDDC at the molecular level could also pave the way for innovative treatments for liver-related conditions, providing a basis for developing targeted gene therapies and enzyme replacement therapies. This highlights the importance of HDDC recombinant protein in both basic research and clinical applications, showcasing its potential to significantly impact the field of hepatology and improving patient outcomes.
