简介
SLC12A2 Protein mediates electroneutral transport of chloride, potassium, and/or sodium ions across the membrane, crucial for regulating ionic balance and cell volume. SLC12A2 Protein, Human (HEK293, His, Strep, FLAG) is the recombinant human-derived SLC12A2 protein, expressed by HEK293 insect cells , with N-Strep, C-Flag, N-8*His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SLC12A2, also known as the sodium/potassium/chloride cotransporter 2 (NKCC2), is a vital member of the SLC12 family of transporters, primarily involved in the reabsorption of sodium, potassium, and chloride ions in the renal system. It plays a crucial role in maintaining electrolyte balance, blood pressure regulation, and overall fluid homeostasis. Abnormalities in SLC12A2 function are linked to various physiological disorders, such as hypertension and renal dysfunction. Given its importance, researchers have focused on producing recombinant SLC12A2 proteins to study their structural and functional properties. The production of these proteins allows for detailed investigations into the transport mechanisms and regulatory pathways influenced by SLC12A2. Furthermore, understanding its interactions with various inhibitors and modulators can lead to the development of novel therapeutic strategies for conditions associated with its dysfunction. As a result, SLC12A2 recombinant proteins are essential for advancing knowledge in renal physiology, pharmacology, and potential drug discovery avenues targeting electrolyte transport disorders.
