稳定性测试
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
保存条件 & 期限
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

运输条件
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Sortilin, also known as SORT1, is a type I transmembrane protein that belongs to the trafficking receptor family and is implicated in various physiological processes, including neuronal development, lipid metabolism, and the transport of neurotrophic factors. Its role has garnered significant attention due to its involvement in the pathology of several diseases, including Alzheimer's disease and cardiovascular disorders. Importantly, Sortilin has been identified as a receptor for proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9 (PCSK9), which is crucial for cholesterol homeostasis and LDL receptor degradation. This connection has made SORT1 a prime target for drug development aimed at lowering cholesterol levels and improving cardiovascular health. The characterization and production of recombinant Sortilin/SORT1 protein are essential for understanding its functional mechanisms and interactions at the molecular level. Researchers focus on producing this protein in heterologous systems to facilitate the study of its structure-function relationships and to develop potential therapeutic strategies. Exploring Sortilin's unique properties and biological roles further highlights its importance in clinical research and therapeutic interventions, making it a valuable subject in the fields of cell biology and drug discovery.
