Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
LAG3 (Lymphocyte Activation Gene 3) is an immune checkpoint receptor that plays a crucial role in regulating T cell function and maintaining immune tolerance. It is primarily expressed on activated T cells, regulatory T cells, and some antigen-presenting cells. Research has shown that LAG3 acts as a suppressive mechanism that dampens immune responses, particularly in the context of cancer and chronic infections, making it an important target for immunotherapy. The development of LAG3-Fc fusion proteins, where the extracellular domain of LAG3 is fused to the Fc region of an immunoglobulin, has been a significant focus in recent studies. These recombinant proteins can bind to MHC class II molecules, blocking LAG3's interaction with its ligands, thereby enhancing T cell activation and anti-tumor immunity. Furthermore, LAG3-Fc has potential therapeutic applications in combination with other checkpoint inhibitors such as PD-1/PD-L1 therapies, aiming to improve clinical outcomes in cancer patients. Understanding the structure-function relationship of LAG3 and the design of effective recombinant proteins is vital for harnessing its immunomodulatory effects and advancing cancer therapies. Researchers are investigating the mechanisms by which LAG3 influences immune responses and exploring its use in various diseases, including autoimmune disorders, highlighting the importance of LAG3 research in developing innovative therapeutic strategies.
