简介
The CER1 protein, a DAN family BMP antagonist, coordinates growth-promoting ureteric bud signaling by inducing BMP inhibition. CER1 also regulates embryogenesis and carcinogenesis by inhibiting NODAL signaling to SMAD2 or SMAD3 through ALK4/ALK7. Cerberus 1/CER1 Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived Cerberus 1/CER1 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-6*His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Cerberus 1 (CER1) is a secreted protein that plays a critical role in early embryonic development, particularly in the formation of the anterior-posterior axis and the regulation of mesoderm and endoderm differentiation. It belongs to the Cerberus family of proteins, which are known for their capacity to act as antagonists of various signaling pathways, including the Wnt, Bone Morphogenetic Protein (BMP), and Nodal pathways. These pathways are crucial for determining cell fate during embryogenesis. Given its multifaceted role in developmental biology, the study of Cerberus 1 and its recombinant protein form (rCER1) has garnered considerable attention. Researchers are particularly interested in elucidating its mechanisms of action and understanding how it can influence cell signaling and tissue patterning. Moreover, because of its regulatory functions, rCER1 has potential implications in regenerative medicine and the treatment of developmental disorders. By generating and characterizing recombinant CER1, scientists aim to leverage its properties for therapeutic applications, including tissue engineering and the modulation of regenerative processes. Overall, the ongoing research on Cerberus 1 emphasizes its importance in developmental biology and its potential utility in clinical applications.
